According to statistics recently released by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), worker accidents cost businesses almost £8 billion a year in compensation.

In addition, employee absenteism due to illness costs UK employer’s around £12.2 billion every year. This means that between 2% and 16% of the UK’s annual wage costs is spent on sickness pay.
